With a passion for design and quality, our family-run business has produced high-quality, stylish, pure cotton terry products for more than 75 years. Cotton is our raw material and essential for producing our products. The characteristics and care properties of this natural fibre are unprecedented. All of our textile products – terry towels, bathmats, bath rugs, bathrobes, homewear and accessories – are developed and manufactured for long-lasting product joy.
MADE IN GERMANY
Our Emsdetten weaving mill uses high-quality cotton yarn. Our production site in Germany with its weaving preparation, weaving mill, dye works and sewing line conforms with strict, national environmental and social standards. These are mandatory for us and also set the standard for our daily business. In 2021, more than 92% of our products were produced in Germany.
Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX
All of our textile products are certified according to Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®94.0.9960 Hohenstein HTTI.
This certification ensures that every component of the product has been tested for harmful substances and that the article is therefore harmless to health..
BETTER COTTON INITIATIVE
We are a proud member of the Better Cotton. Sustainability begins with the cultivation of the fiber. Through our commitment, we have committed ourselves to sourcing more sustainable and fairly produced Better Cotton. With the continuous increase in the proportion of Better Cotton, we are getting closer to our goal of continuously improving sustainability along the entire value chain.
Better Cotton is sourced via a system of mass balance and is not physically traceable to end products. We are committed to sourcing 50% of our cotton as Better Cotton by 2025. Cawö partners with Better Cotton to improve cotton farming globally.
